NWT School Championship

The Hay River Elks and the NWT Curling Association is proud to sponsor the 4th Annual NWT School Championship.  Get your team entry form in early, go to the Forms page to get your championship entry form.

The winners of the A category will be given the first opportunity to attend the Western Canadian Juvenile Championship.  The winning teams, Junior A Women's and Junior A Men's must meet the entrance requirements of 17 years of age and under.  Winning teams with ineligible players can use replacement team members, restrictions apply.  Contact Gary Hoffman with any questions.

UPDATE

The 2005 NWT School Championship was held Feb 18-20 in Hay River.  A record number of teams were entered - 34 teams in total.

The winning teams:

"A" Division (7 teams) - Jesse Duford rink from DJ High Scool - Hay River

"B" Division (11 teams) - Kelvin Redvers rink from DJ High School - Hay River

"C" Division (9 teams) - Keisha Kipling rink from PA School and Ecole Borealis - Hay River

"D" Division (7 teams) - Madison Pilling fink from Bombas School - Fort Simpson

The teams winning the right to represent the NWT at the Optimist International U18 Championship are the Jesse Duford rink (HR) and the Kate Jefferson rink (YK).
